Placement Test

What is a Placement Test:

The goal of the test is to assess the students’ knowledge on basic statistical knowledge and ability to analyze and interpret statistical data. The placement test will cover the following topics: Measures of central tendency and variation; Frequency distribution; Correlation analysis; Visualization of univariate and bivariate statistical data. Since the course uses only the Python programming language for statistical analysis purposes, students should also use it for placement test.

How Placement Test works:

Students opting for the Placement Test will be provided a data set in csv format asked to answer some questions. The student(s) should do the assignment with python and submit a jupyter notebook with statistical outputs (tables, graphs) and interpretations. For each correct answer the student will be assigned a grade. To pass the placement test a student must earn at least 60% out of the total score. The test will last 90 minutes.
