| PROFILE | Narek Ohanyan is a lecturer of Econometrics and Statistics at the MSCBE. He joined the AUA as Adjunct Lecturer in 2016, after receiving his Master’s degree in Economics from the AUA. He also works at the Financial system forecasting division at the Central Bank of Armenia. Narek’s research interests span many areas of Economics, including Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics and Time Series Econometrics.
In 2016, Narek’s paper titled “Monetary Policy in an Open Economy: The Role of Financial Dollarization” won the “Best paper in Macroeconomics” award from International Monetary Fund during the Armenian Economic Association’s Annual Meeting. He has also received a “Letter of appreciation” from the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia for his research performance. |
