The MSE program is located in the picturesque resort town of Dilijan, in the forested mountainous region of Tavush Marz (some 100 km north of Yerevan). The program shares the facilities with the Dilijan Training and Research Centre of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA). The ultra-modern facilities include sleeping quarters (apartment flats with two or three single-occupancy bedrooms), sporting facilities, classrooms, various conference venues, a library, and a canteen.
In the collaborative Economic Research Laboratory, students, faculty, central bankers, and visitors work on applied policy and fundamental economics research – developing, analyzing, presenting, and discussing various topics.
Dilijan is one of the most important resorts in Armenia, situated within the Dilijan National Park. The locals often refer to the town as Armenian Switzerland or Little Switzerland.
