| PROFILE | Haig Messerlian is an American of Armenian origin, born in Beirut, Lebanon. He lives in Santa Clarita, California. He has worked for thirty years as a creative in various in advertising agencies, from Junior Art Director to Senior Creative Director, and Director of Creative Services, VP, twenty-four years of which with McCann-Erickson in London, Athens, Hamburg, Madrid, Chicago and Mexico City. Currently he is a creative consultant to the Hammurabi advertising agency in Mexico City.
Accounts he has worked on or handled in various creative capacities in North America and Europe, include: Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico, General Motors, Coca-Cola, Gillette, Goodyear, Exxon, Lufthansa, American Airlines, Hilton, Hertz, Budget Rent-a-car, Sears Menswear, Norwich Union Insurance, Shelter–Campaign for the Homeless, Martini & Rossi, and many others. I speak English, Armenian, French, Spanish, Arabic and some Turkish. As a visiting lecturer at the AUA, he teaches Advertising Management at the AUA Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics since 2008. He is an active member of the AGBU in the US, having serving it in leadership positions such as Executive Director, District Committee Chairman, etc. As a staunch supporter and a believer in AUA’s vision and mission, he is a proud member of AUA Development Committee, based in California. In 2015, he received the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora Gold Medal, the AGBU Silver Medal and was designated as AGBU Honor Member. |
