PROFILE Adjunct Lecturer of Accounting. Armen Shahinyan is teaching accounting subjects in BAB program (“Introduction to Financial Accounting”, “Introduction to Managerial Accounting”) and MBA program (“Financial Accounting”). At the origin of adoption of the new financial reporting standards in Armenia, he has participated in the Accounting Reform activities carried by an international organization, as a consultant, also taught train the trainers and for students assigned courses “Financial Accounting Framework” and “Management Information”. He hold different positions in the sphere of finance, accounting and audit and was employed by United States Agency for International Development as a Budget and Finance Specialist/Project Accountant, World Bank Wasserstein Perella privatization project as a finance consultant, later carried certain duties as a Finance Director/Chief Accountant, then as an auditor/consultant for a self-founded audit company approximately for 10 years participated in audit, accounting, and consulting activities for numerous international organizations, NGOS, joint-ventures, including manufacturing, finance sector and other entities.  The projects he worked on included the areas of microfinance, banking, utility infrastructures, legal protection, construction, etc.  Armen Shahinyan has taught IFRS, audit, financial and cost accounting related courses. As financial/economic independent consultant he has participated in technical audit activities of major companies in water utility sector.
